ILWU Meets with Lawmakers to Advocate for their Priorities

In March 2024, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) came to Sacramento for lobby days, and we were proud to help put them in the right rooms.

Our team arranged meetings with a strong roster of Assembly members representing key districts across Southern California — Blanca Rubio (AD-48), Josh Lowenthal (AD-69), Mike Gipson (AD-65), Al Muratsuchi (AD-66), Isaac Bryan (AD-55), and Phillip Chen (AD-59). From the San Gabriel Valley to the South Bay to the Inland Empire, these are lawmakers whose districts reflect the communities most directly connected to California’s ports and goods movement economy.

Each meeting gave ILWU leadership the opportunity to sit down face-to-face with legislators, share their priorities, and build the kind of relationships that move the needle in Sacramento. That kind of direct access — with the right members, at the right time — doesn’t happen by accident.

We are proud to represent the ILWU and to help ensure their voice is heard where it matters most.
